Tea Tree Oil is renowned for its antibacterial and antifungal properties. You can use just 2-3 drops in your bucket with water, to soak your pads or use it to steralize your menstrual sponges or menstrual cups. Or add to the conditioner compartment of your washing machine, adding Tea Tree Oil to the rinse cycle, to keep you pads really clean. Make your own 'Freshen Up' solution, by getting an old shampoo bottle (or similar), filling with water, adding a splurge of liquid soap (or shampoo/baby wash/shower gel, these disperse the essential oil) adding a few drops of Tea Tree Oil. Moisten wipes, freshen up through the day.
Hundreds of other uses, including general first aid, sterilising menstrual pads and sponges, adding to Ecover washing up liquid as a natural home-made hand soap (dries the hands slightly but is so cheap!).
Please note that some people may be sensitive to Tea Tree Oil and it is recommended testing a small amount first and also that an extra rinse cycle is employed when menstrual pads that have been soaked in Tea Tree Oil solution.
